The History of Bearcat
The Bearcat story starts in 1971, when we started manufacturing aluminum truck caps. Soon after, we jumped into the snow industry, manufacturing SnoCaps for snowmobile trailers. About 1985 we started manufacturing products for the marine industry, which continues today.
The company continued to evolve and branched out to include fiberglass truck caps, aluminum trailers and fabrication work for various industries.
In 1998 we started to manufacture aluminum campers and that line grew until 2008, when it spun off into another company, taking with it the SnoCap and trailer lines. Although we no longer make a complete trailer, snowcap or truck cap, we have continued doing fabrication work for those industries.
Our marine products include a line of aluminum rear-entry and swim/dock ladders, along with boat ladders and bimini tops. Bearcat provides the aluminum ladders for many of the major pontoon boat manufacturers.
